January Maine ASHRAE/MIAQC Joint Meeting at Mast Landing in Freeport

This meeting is a joint meeting held by the Maine ASHRAE chapter and the Maine Indoor Air Quality Council (MIAQC). 

Our guest presenter for this meeting will be Jim Hughes, P.E., presenting on Indoor Air Purification and Sterilization Methods. Jim is a Life Member of ASHRAE originally becoming a member in 1970. He graduated from Cornell with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After four years in the Navy as an engineering officer on a destroyer, he then joined Powers Regulator selling pneumatic controls.  He helped guide the industry’s transition from pneumatic controls to direct digital controls (DDC). Powers Regulator is now part of Siemens. Jim served in various roles including Sales Engineer, Engineering Manager, Automation Marketing Manager, and Branch Manager. In 1991, Jim founded Hughes Engineering & Controls selling Honeywell Automation systems. He retired in 2018 but came back in 2020 as a sales rep for Midcoast Aerus to help businesses deal with the COVID pandemic. Jim enjoys kayaking in the summer and skiing in the winter and is an alumnus of the National Ski Patrol. He is a part owner of Red Smith Foods in Davie, FL that sells pickled sausage.

Your $50 registration includes dinner catered by Nighthawk Kitchen. The event will take place on the brand new second floor event space of Mast Landing in Freeport. There will be a cash bar and plenty of opportunity to mingle.

If you plan on paying by check or cash select pay later and bring your payment on the day of the event.

Please make sure to register by 1/20 so we can provide a head count to the caterer for dinner.
